Right To Die...

I never knew this before..I believe there is right to information but i never knew that there is a right to die...It was shocking for me to see a elderly couple were assisted few days back in Switzerland to die. It is against the law in many countries but some countries do follow it in circumstances..

One of the most respected conductor of Britain, Sir EdwardDownes and his wife Joan were assisted to die in Switzerland. He was 85, almost blind and increasingly deaf, his wife 74 who was suffering from terminal cancer of liver and pancreas decided to end thier life after living 54 years together. it was getting very tough for them to live as they couldnt handle thier pain. persoanlly i feel they had choosen to die in a civilised way rather than dying with pain every sigle minute..

This word 'Euthanasia' refers to an act to die in a painless manner with someone other than the patient helping them to die.Any person who assists suicide faces charge of 11 years in England. Many people in this world are struggling with dreadful diseases like cancer, Aids and list goes on, where there is no treatment...Every diseased know that they will be dying soon and still struggling with pain every single day till death..Do you think our government should help such people in assisted suicide, where people just drink a liquid and die happily for once.

Many people from England visit Switzerland to opt for Euthanasia as it is legal in that country.

I request all the countries to rethink on this issue and make it legal to help them die in a civilized way...

IS IT TIME TO THINK BEYOND CRICKET AND BOLLYWOOD???

I was just watching an historic match between Switzerland player Roger Federer and American Andy Roddick on the final match of Wimbledon. Federer won His 15^th Grand slam title beating Pete Sampras record of 14 and has become the only player in the world to hold those. The last set was longest ever played in the men’s singles history as it was not easy for him to make it..

There is saying which I see every day while travelling in the train which goes like this “Winning always comes at a price but success is only when it’s worth it”. This made me seriously think about his struggle to win his Grand slams. I felt bad when Sania Mirza was knocked out in the first rounds and left an image could an Indian ever win a Grand slam. Do we expect more from the struggling Sania or do we need to expect any other Indian in the picture??????????

As per July 2009, It is expected that Indian population is 1.19 billion and India is hardly known in the world sport today, keeping Cricket aside. In Last year’s Beijing Olympics, India has just won 1Gold and 2 Bronze medals while our neighbour China has won 100 medals and USA 110 medals. Is it Time for Indian government to learn seriously from Chinese hard work in winning medals rather than planning to ban importing Chinese dairy products, while Chinese government has retaliated by saying that it is going to ban all the exports to India in return.

I personally feel that we need to have a tracking system which shows the money invested in sports infrastructure. How effectively is the money used? May be all the Educational Institutions in India should make sport as a compulsory sports module, where student can choose their own sport (should definitely pass out with 80% of marks).

Everyone was very happy with the success of the movie “Slum dog Millionaire” but somewhere i felt the credit doesn’t belong to India. It is not an Indian movie as it was a made by a British Director Danny Boyle about Indian slums but one should definitely credit A. R Rehmans music. This movie has definitely sent a wrong note to the world about India. People around remember India, through this movie. I remember my mate from Portugal asking me a question “Do you live in a hut in India”, “does every one live in a hut out there”. I didn’t even feel like explaining to him...

India’s technical education is strong that, half of the UK’s doctors and IT consultants are Indians who work for long hours when compared to their citizens and that is true!!!! So, why should India which has got enormous talent should lack in World sports??????

Do you do it, as you personally like it OR you are FORCED to do it??????

Yesterday, I was talking to a man in his early sixties. We meet quite often, he comes to my work place almost twice in a week and whenever we meet, the common point of discussion would be politics....he is a very calm, composed, very talented English person I have met in recent times..

And it was this day, when he was explaining me “all my life, I was dreaming to be someone and finally I became someone”. He said, his aims and ideals were changed as he was FORCED to change because of his surroundings. One has got the freedom of doing something but have an external force on them which could be their family, friends or situations which compels them to do only that thing than anything else, EXPRESSION OF NEGATIVE FREEDOM.

I feel many of us face the same situation in our everyday life, where in we wanted to do something but the situation and our social life force us to do something else..We may not like the job we are in but our family responsibilities make us think about job safety. But one personally needs to think if that is going to help them in the long run.

It Happens only in India!!!!

It was an old Govinda song from a bollywood movie in which he hilariously dance to the tunes of the song..IT HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA!!!!! This song very articulately explains the best things of India. I think the lyricist should have explained the other side of India too...I am talking about the Great Indian Cricket Fanaticism..

Being a hard-core cricket fan, I was disappointed with Indian teams performance last night against England. But it was just a game. You win sometime and you loose sometime. As it is the only popular sport of India, people are so Fanatic about it. I was watching the news the other day and it was people from Ranchi (hometown of Dhoni) burning the effigy of Indian captain MSD for loosing the T20 match. I heard that people from the same city were planning to build a temple for Dhoni when we were consistently winning the matches. It was really a tough game for India as England was bowling really well. England team was bowling at a tougher length (shoulder height balls), which the immature Raina and Jadeja couldn’t strike, feeling the pressure form the outnumbered Indian fans in the ground.

I feel, there are many more things which we should be really worried about like Indian poverty, Terrorism, rising swine flu cases and many other problems which the country is facing now rather than just a spirited game. We have to appreciate the team’s effort in the game, especially MSD, as he is one of the best captains India ever had*. India has won many matches under his captaincy even against the biggies Australia. The best thing was MSD apologising to the fans of Indian cricket as you hardly see any captain doing that.

Finally, I just wanted to say one thing to all those effigy-burning lads down there..

Wanna be a hero using your shoe???

This seems to be present trend!!!!
If you dont like someone or if you dont like wht he said..you don't have to think alot. just throw your shoe at him...There are some greatest personalities who have fallen prey to this trend..

First, was the infamous EX- US president George. W. Bush in a press conference and then it was Chinese PM(not sure about his name but some ''ting pang tooo'') and then finally it was our very own finance minister P.Chidambaram who had to face this from a turbunator journalist whilst talking on sikh riots....

And Guess What!!!! The journalist is a Hero now. so, who wants to be a HERO???????

Feeling rich,,,,but realised later.....

19th August 2007:  This date has got a lot of importance in my life. this day has made me to feel that i would be ruling this world and will be rich soon..the reason for my 'OVER IMAGINATIVE' behaviour was only one simple reason..guess what????yeah.....i got a visa to do a masters degree in UK also called as "Great Britian"(but nothing really great about this Queens land)..

I feel this would be the same feeling for many of indians of ''FEELING RICH'' when they get a visa to fly abroad. They spend fortune before leaving abroad to shop, partying with the friends for the so called 'SUCCESS' making them jealous and inspiring them to come with them, buying designer clothes and accessories which quite obviously doesnt match to the UK weather and culture which they would only realise after comming here. This money could have made me to start a small business in India,,apparently i had to borrow all this money from my dad who was very kind enough to give me all that i needed..Thanks dad...

Finally it was the day 15th september 2007, when i first travelled out of india. i was bit upset as it was hard to leave my family and friendssssss......but was happy at the other corner that i am leaving abroad. It was my first flight journey, was very excited but was controlling all my emotions to show off that it was my 576th journey. Just acting smart!!!!!!

An Australian fanatic who was in his late fifties was sitting next to me in the flight. Till then, i was thinking that i could understand english pretty well, but the moment i spoke to him i have changed my mind.....there is one common topic which make every Indian talk..yes!!!! thts true..CRICKET...but quite obviously i had to shut my mouth as he comes from the country which rules the world cricket.......

Everyone was cueing up for the immigration check and it was then i got my ''FIRST RACIAL ABUSE''......An immigration officer started staring at me as if i was comming from an OSAMA BIN LADEN'S training camp and when it was my turn for the checking he asked me all the wierd questions in the world and was very rude to ask me, ""when are you going back""Grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

I think i need to take a break now, i m getting late to my work...hope every one will like this and i promise to come back soon with new posts..
